Dream Theater’s December 9 show in Guadalajara, Mexico has unfortunately been cancelled for logistical reasons that are beyond the control of the band and the promoter. All tickets will be refunded. Dream Theater regrets this inconvenience to fans who’ve already purchased tickets and thanks them for their understanding.

New York, NY: A little more than a month after original drummer Mike Portnoy’s sudden departure from Dream Theater, the band held three days of auditions in New York City. Over an amazing and productive three-day period, the band played, jammed and spoke candidly with seven of the world’s greatest drummers, learning about them musically, personally and professionally, and assessing the fit of each drummer’s incredible chops with the band’s trademark prog-rock sound.
Dream Theater have been extremely sensitive to the fact that this is not only a monumental decision in their own lives, but also a critical moment in the lives of DT fans around the world. “The departure of our lifelong bandmate and friend was an unexpected and truly heartbreaking blow,” says guitarist John Petrucci. “The fact that as a result of that event we’d be introduced to seven infinitely capable and uniquely talented drummers was heartening.”
Dream Theater would like to share with its fans some of the intense process, along with the musical joy, that went into choosing a new drummer. Who is the best fit behind the kit?

Jordan will be appearing at the Macworld convention in San Francisco on January 28th as part of the Feature Presentations schedule. His presentation will be "Music meets multitouch".
Jordan will also be making an appearance at the Apple Store on January 28th from 7:00pm - 8:00pm with Steve Horelick from macprovideo.com for a performance using Logic and various keyboards and iPad apps. This is a great opportunity to see how Apple products inspire innovative musicians.
01/14/2011 Jordan to perform Explorations in New York! January 23rd 2011! It’s the story of the 21st century: two musicians, different generations, and different continents, meeting via YouTube and finding a musical partnership.
Their names are DREAM THEATER keyboardist extraordinaire JORDAN RUDESS and the 19-year-old Turkish prodigy Eren Basbug. Rudess discovered Basbug after Basbug orchestrated Dream Theater's entire Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence album.
Jordan will be performing at a very special live solo show at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, New York on January 23rd 2011.
After a great sold out run in Venezuela, Jordan will be performing on two keyboards and will be joined by very special guests James LaBrie (Dream Theater), Turkish music prodigy Eren Basbug and Project RnL, an Israeli band that Jordan discovered on YouTube playing his MorphWiz iPad app.
