depends man - I honestly can't say because I'm a Kurzweil guy myself, haven't delved into the depths of Korg yet, so I can't say. Could be an effects thing, or something else but I honestly don't know *Shrugs*

Ask Scrap - He'd know.

progkeys,
Do you know where's the problem? Is it that you cant transfer files to triton or is the problem inside
the synth. Also, what triton model you have, if it's LE you might have a problem with those 2 insert
effecs, while classic holds 5 IFX and 2 MFX.

My Triton Pro X can't open the files from Progsounds. Everything else seems to work fine.

that site is mad to try and find anything!!! i think one the triton it needs to be upgraded to the Moss. I downloaded a great sounding lead section (only 12 of them) but i forget where, but basically its a mixture of two oscillators of square and square PWM with tweeked effects and things, but i'd advise adding your own because you know what sound you want. I think without the MOSS you will struggle, but JR's sound sounds quite squarey (!) so its about as close as it gets without upgrading!!! maybe try getting something from pro-rec....

Try to add a distorted guitar for the high velocity (105<) in PWM oscillator, harmonics chorus, heavy distortion and high gain to fx section. It seems to work a bit better.

well i can safely say that for the past few weeks i've been trying but i've not come close. possibly because its hard to make a sound into a multi-smaple so you can use it as a standard base sound. What you basically have to do is something (along the lines of) this:

Basically like himself said its made up of 7 sounds - distorted guitar, clarinet, oboe, sawtooth, square waves and sine waves. Basically, you have to mix the clarinet and oboe, but instead of a distorted guitar, add a high gain distortion(?), so in effect you have a distorted clarinet/oboe sound. Then the tricky part of being able to use that as a base file. If you can do that then load up with another file (which will also need to be pre mixed - the square and sine waves). When you mix these together and put the sawtooth under a lowpass (??) then you need to tweak it alot and it (technically) should work.

This is obviously only a way of doing it, and probably not even the right way, but the problems that arise are how much distortion and effects to add to each program before its even mixed with the other, as the overall effect is going to come out quite differently. I wouldn't recommend trying if you don't want to spend hours with it, as i'm still nowhere near finished, and back up all the files you make so if you need to change it slightly its not gone forever!!! hope this helps!! :?
