Monster Lead on Triton LE
It is possible? I read somewhere that you need a moss expansion to generate the feedback layer sherinian uses. Has anyone had any success reproducing the sound without moss or on the LE? Thanks.

do you have filters? if so, you can make the feedback simply using aftertouch as source and layer volume as destination. use a waveform with a similar harmonic structure and set it some octave above.. if needed, filter it.
see ya

I have the monster lead on the LE - It's not nearly as complicated as you think. The thing is that DS used MOSS to make the feedback layer in Program mode - you only have 2 oscillators available and the 3'rd was MOSS. I did it in the LE in Combi mode. One layer is the wah part, the other is the feedback part.
In any case, let me see if I can get it off of my triton for you to try in yours.

Couldn't he also program that to the up/down action of the joystick, whichever is not already being used for wah?

Enigma thanks alot man. I havn't loaded the patch yet but I listened to the mp3 and it sounds very authentic. I'll examine, tweak it, and show you what I come up with. Thanks again.

I just loaded that version of the monster lead into my Le, and it isn't monophonic! Why is this?!

Are you in Combi or Prog mode?
I not really good with saving/loading file in the LE - It SHOULD be monophonic but if it's not, I can't honestly say I know why. The sound is in Combi mode, and I saved the file just like the book said to.
Also, are you using an LE as well?
I don't know how much it matters, I'm mostly a Kurzweil guy, and I'm not uber fond of the LE - The loading/saving stuff bothers me, there's no objects and I can't tell if it saved the dependant objects like custom effects, etc.. I have no idea. I just made the lead like Derek's, saved it and uploaded it.
So, if it still sounds like Derek's lead, but it's not monophonic, have you considered just making it monophonic?
Just an idea...

All the leads in Prog (Bank D) mode are brilliant and fantastic etc. The ones in Combi mode are also good, but none of them are mono, and I don't know how to make them monophonic.

For the program mode pupose:
Press Menu, Basic, Voice Assigne Mode: mono/poly
set mono!
In the Karma you make it in this way.
If you have a combi, and knowing that combi are made with programs, you must set all the programs's Voice Assigne Mode within the combi is made. (eg....your combination C001 is made with programs A002, B023 and C014? you must edit individually the program like i said on the top)
