Default Music Schools/College....

hi, just a question for everyone, does anybody know high schools involving general studies (like math, english etc) and at the same time in-depth Musical Studies? There must be some , but I cant seem to find any, at least not for my budget. Does anyone know of any ?? Preferably not very expensive....?

Thanks

I think i know what you mean.....correct me if im wrong.

Your after a high school that have a music subject which is beyond the average Joe?!!?

What i can suggest is talking to your school councillor. I know that here in OZ a high school student can study subject externally at a college and have the credit transferred to their high school certificate. The positive of doing this, is that if you want to go on and study music in college, you are already starting to you college course while in high school. The only problem is you need to make sure you fill all the other subject requirements (most of the time this doesnt cause too much of a problem).

I know, that’s what I did….. but I did electronics not music (stupid me  :) ). Like I said talk to your councillor and they could offer you some options. Obviously education may be a lot different between Mexico and Australia.

see how you go....dont know if you dont ask

I know about a high school in Argentina (I think is in Buenos Aires or something like that) where they had like a morning shift and an afternoon shift. In the morning you would see all the "regular" subjects you get in high school (like math, english and stuff) and on the afternoon you get all the musical subjects. I think that's a very interesting idea for an educational institution.

I think Julliard has some sort of high/middle school program (JR went there when he was 9 I believe).
