Alesis Fusion Synth
The new Alesis Fusion Synth boasts four kinds of synthesis (sample-based, VA, FM, and Physical modelling. Coupled with the new Korg this sets a new standard for workstations.
Props to Alesis. Good news for us synth users.

I think that it looks like a car dashboard minus the steering wheel. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like. I just recently bought an Alesis Micron and can't say enough good things about it. It's nice to see Alesis trying to progress the synth world, I just wish that Kurzweil would do the same and get their act together. What ever happened to the VA-1 ??? We need Bob Moog to buy Kurzweil then we could have the best of both worlds (K2700XS Mega Moog).

I think it looks very cool. The 88 key version is probably the slimest 88 note board I've seen. Excellent specs too. 180 note polyphony. several synth types including Physical modelling (I love PM)...It'll probably be a lot cheaper than the korg OASYS I reckon. I'll have to see Yamaha's & Roland's reply to these super synths and I'll be surprised if they don't...

Wooo, me want, me want. May put off buying a Keystation ES88 Pro for the time being, this looks very nice. Plus, I've just ordered a new drum kit which is costing me over 2 months wages, so cash a little short at the moment :) But this is pretty, me want, me want (serious gear lust mode!)

Holy Cow ! Did you get a look at the back panel ? At first I thouhgt those were outputs, but to my surprise, the panel says Multitrack Audio Inputs ! And there are 8 of em ! That would be a nice board to own. And with the audio inputs the possibilities are huge ! :D

hmm... depending on how much this thing ends up costing, I think I might have just found the 88-key master synth that I've always wanted. That, my Motif6, MicroMoog, and MS2000BR will make me happy for a LONG time.

WOW... now that's a Pricepoint... $1999 list for the 88 key and $1699 for the 61. I think I know what my tax refund is going towards now....
