Default Buyin a keyboard, need help

I have been playing piano for 8 years and am looking for a nice professional keyboard around the 3000 dollar range. i have been thinking between a Roland Fantom x8 or a new Motif, but if anyone has any other suggestions then please tell me. i play in a band similar to mars volta, so i'm looking for some good synths with a great piano. i played a Korg Triton extreme but i really didn't like the piano sounds. but i really need some suggestions because i am pretty stuck.

i've been looking into things more and have been definetly leaning toward the motif es8. that thing is a sexy beast. i tried a kurzweil 2500 and i really didn't like the action on it and i thought the sounds were better on the motif. plus the ribbon on the motif adds some pretty snazzy effects

another thing..... i'm worried about the motif es8 being outdated quickly with something better. i mean its still amazing but thats a lot of piano lessons i have to give to afford it. i want to make sure that yamaha isn't coming out with a better keyboard really soon.
