Tuning a piano
Have any of you ever tuned a piano? There's an old upright at my grandparents' house and they asked me to tune it. It's in pretty bad shape, one of the bass notes was 3 semitones flat.
I believe tuning a piano isn't too hard but being very good at it is a different story. What do I need? A tuning fork (or my casio as a reference) and a tuning lever but is there something else? Is it dangerous? I've heard that old strings can break easily and i dont want them (the strings) to whip me. :)
All thoughts are appreciated. :D
