Hey everybody. First time poster, long time Jordan fan (I've seen DT twice this year!).

I wanted to make sure everyone knew about the live online show Jordan is doing from his home on June 3rd on Stageit. The experience is incredibly intimate and interactive, and the video will not be archived for later viewing. You truly have to be there to experience it.

I'm a musician and also an employee at Stageit. As a company, we are VERY pro-artist, and I'm extremely proud to work at a place that respects musicians like Jordan.

Hey dude, thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum! I think this Stageit is pretty cool. I might want to put on a show myself someday, I was wondering what the options are for audio and video quality? and does video have to be coming from a webcam? Thanks!

Hey King_Ellesar,

As a performer, the options are endless. You can use desktop client software (such as Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder for free or Telestream's Wirecast for some cash) to bring in any camera feed you like. The limiting factor as a performer is your internet upload speed. We recommend at least 1MB upload, and even higher if possible. This will dramatically increase the quality for your fans.

As for audio, we've seen performers bring in a stereo mix of a 48 track pro tools session in the studio. We've also seen performers play with just their built-in laptop webcam and microphone.

I was the lucky one who won the tipping contest for the stageit show, an improvised work of music composed by Jordan that was dedicated to me. Coincidentally, the show itself played live on my birthday, where I gifted myself the opportunity to enjoy the show while sitting at my own Korg in my home studio. Last years birthday saw severe medical issues that very nearly killed me. This year was quite different.

Words cannot express how much joy and healing this has brought into my life. I will never forget the show. Thank you Jordan - thanks for playing "State of Grace", "Soon", "Hey You". and all the other wonderful music woven in and out of your hands. Thank you for the song. Thank you for the beauty expressed in pitch and timbre, carving time from life and experience.

Looking forward to seeing you and the rest of DT on stage in San Francisco in July.
