I've noticed this board quite a long time ago, and I also heard sample sounds of it...I saw that a lot of keyboardists use it, and when I heard it, I have to admit I was simply amazed...Anyone else?

I recently got the GEM Real Piano Expander which features the same sounds! Amazing, especially the Physical modelling stuff!

Wakeman plays something like a Promega 3 (I believe, I am too lazy to dig up the Keyboard article that lists his whole recent Yes rig).

Not sure what the difference between 2 and 3 is. But judging from Rick's sounds the last 3 times I've seen Yes, it is a mean piece of gear (the 3 that is). I believe he uses it for some of the organ stuff on Awaken, as well as several other sounds/songs but I cant remember specifically. It would be cool if the article had listed which part/sound he plays on each board/module in his setup. The guy is like a freakin soccer goalie up there! Moving around at all times pretty much.

The ProMega 2 is a different board from the Pro2, the Pro2 is an older board whereas the ProMega is quite new.

Saw Yes in concert Saturday, Rick uses the GEM quite a lot, I'm fairly sure he's triggering sounds off his E4 quite a bit with it though, or possibly the Triton rack, as quite a few sounds he was getting out of it are not ones I've seen on the voice list!

Interesting to see that he never touched the CX-3 or the Karma, and barely played the O1WproX, they're obviously used for other songs or just triggered by MIDI (all the organ parts were played on the Triton and Trinity).

Im pretty sure I saw him play the cx-3 when I saw them in NYC last month. I was worried because I bought the tickets kind of late, and from the seating chart they looked really shitty (way off to one side). But actually, it afforded us a beatiful amazing view from slightly above and online to Rick's setup, so we could LITERALLY see just about everything he did (albeit from maybe 50 ft away so actually fingerings were a little tricky to see). Other than being a little closer to the stage, there wasnt really any better place in MSG to watch Rick from.
