Hey guys,
I was wondering if you guys could give me any suggestions on high quality soundcards. I'm willing to spend a good deal of money on one.
Right now I use the music programs 'Adobe Audtion' or 'Cool Edit Pro 2000'. I have a standard soundcard that can only support up to a 44100 kHz sampling rate. I have a Hewlett Packard computer and it's about 4 years old. And I also use Win 98 as my operating system.
I'm looking for a soundcard that I could get up to a 96000 kHz sampling rate with, which is considered DVD quality, or even higher would be better.
I can EQ and master all that I want but without a high quality sampling rate (advanced soundcard), I just can't get that professional sound.
I use a Yamaha Zoom 8 track digital as my mixing board. The Yamaha is plugged into my 'Line In' jack on the computer. And I'll plug my keyboard, guitar, drums or microphones into the Yamaha Zoom. Then I record into my computer through the Yamaha Zoom.
I would appreciate any help you guys could give me on soundcards, and I'd like to hear about some of the soundcards you guys use.
Thanks,
David
