Hi everybody,
I'm new working with synths, I don't know how to download patches to my synth, what do i have to do? How can I download the patches that members upload here? By the way I have a Korg X50.
Thanks.

well, first off, you'll have to find patch files specifically for your synth. Then, if it doesn't have any sort of media slot (floppy drive, compact flash, etc...), you'll basically have to take the sysex file (most of the time it has a .mid extension) and load it into a PC sequencer. Make sure you set your synth to receive a sysex dump (if it requires that - some do it automatically). Then just set the midi out to go into the synth and hit play. The sounds should load.

I believe with the X50 you have to manually set it to recieve a MIDI System-Exclusive dump.

Is there any place to download patches for Sonic cell? And I haven't compltetly got how this thing works, I assume that you have to load the patch to the editor. Does the "thing" you are loading replace every patch everywhere or just one bank or just one sound that you are currently playing OR just one patch that it is set to overwrite?

I guess all patches of Fantom S,X and Juno G will work on Sonic Sell... Just go to forum clan, and ask for them...
I know they have this planet X user patch collection, made by Artemiy. Sounds pretty good, but it's not free
No - the new patches will only replace "user" patches - from 1 to 256. Preset patches cannot be overwritten.
Using librarian software, you can choose which patches you want to keep and which patches you want to overwrite with new ones.

So I load the patches with the librarian? (never used that one... yet).
And do you know any places where to get patches for free? Also I recon that the sounds that cost something are acualy new samples? (could be wrong).
