What about a MIDI keyboard from Fatar (for example, SL 990 XP)? IMHO it is really cool and not so expensive.

Lol, here we go again...

I quit....

1 thing - Hammer action keys, are so heavy, that even if you put your headphones on, they will make so much noise, that they will drive your neighbors insane - not to mention your family.

That was you? I clicked accept but for some reason it didnt work. MNPN something or other?

Well, you could probably get an S80 off ebay for as little as $600 or so, but you might get lucky and get one for less than that even if you keep your eyes open. Trust me, you get what you pay for, and waiting a little while long to save up more money will be worth it in the end.

What about an Ebayed S08? Isn't that the same Keybed as the S80? Yeah, it's a low end board, but if it's not going to be used for anything other than practice, then do that.

Yeah, an S08 might work too. I cant remember all the specific differences between the 08 and the 80. I KNOW the 80 has everything you would need for a lifetime of keyboard enjoyment. I have a feeling the 08 is missing some key features like aftertouch, etc... (wow, the difference in my Alpha Juno between being played from it's own non-aftertouch sending keybed to playing it from my EX5 with the awesome Yamaha keybed WITH aftertouch, it's like a whole different synth! Also, benefits the D-50, which although the keybed sends aftertouch, it's a much older and more primitive system and doesnt have as much "range"). I think another thing might be that it doesnt take PLG cards. Which would be lame.
