I just stumbled across this last night, so I apologize to anyone who is already aware of this...but check this site out:

http://www.discretesynthesizers.com/nova/intro.htm

A Hammond Synthesizer from 1938 called the Hammond Novachord! The page is rather large and takes some time to load (much less READ), but it is well worth it for any synthesizer nuts out there. There are also some sound samples at the bottom of the page that just blew my mind! It's pretty creepy and amazing that an organ company was making synthesizers almost 70 years ago. Feedback please.

Aah, the good old Novachord - I think everybody who's studied synthesis at any point will have stumbled across this beast. Quite remarkable when you think that moogs in comparsion are quite modern :D

Yeah, pretty awesome. I think I posted a thread about them a long time ago.

Unlike all the jaded people...I've never heard of this before, and am very glad you brought it to my attention!
