To all Fantom users...
It's been a year since I bought my X, and I still don't have a clue about solo synth function. How do you use this darn thing? I only use it for abstract sound..bleep bleep blop neeerd neeerd blop blop...well,you get the picture

It is kinda useless, you know...
You cant really play this thing, you can't route it to MFX, there is not much you can do with it...
Unless: it's a basic virtual analog synth, so I think you can use it to create waveforms (samples) for you patches. The synth it self sounds pretty fat and deep...

I set it to only play 1 pitch, and resample the waveforms I create with it. Good for lots of VA applications.

uhm... resample it. i'll try it

I use it for effects. It's basically a theremin. I use the main volume knob and that sensor to create nice effects. You just need to develop a new kinda technique to that of a theremin. I have my hand straight, and take away fingers and such, like on a theremin.
All it's good for if you don't have a steady hand is whooshing effects. Great for experimental, not so good for prog. Though Jordan does use it at point in screaming head
