Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could help me in this. I'm looking to a buy a USB Interface for connecting my Yamaha S90Es to my macbook, but I'm on a rather limited budget. Probably something from around $150 to $200. So far I'm looking at:
M-Audio MobilePre Line 6 TonePort UX1 or UX2
M-Audio Fast Track Pro
Lexicon Lambda

I'm thinking one of these 4 would be best for me, but I've heard conflicting things about all of them, especially zero-latency and phantom power. Does anyone have any experience with these or let me know which one you recommend?
Thanks!

I have a Lambda. I haven't used it with a condenser as of yet, so I haven't personally experienced any problems with phantom power. However, I've heard that some people can't provide phantom power to two mics with some laptops. Other than that, the Lambda seems sturdy enough, and it's definitely got adequate inputs.

Why not try the MBox 2 (either just the standard model, or the mini)? They're both rather good interfaces, reliable, and they both come with a full version of Pro Tools 7.4 - they might be a little bit over what you were planning to spend, but Pro Tools is the industry standard for audio recording - worth checking out.

I use an Edirol um 1X , 2 midi plugs and on the other end a usb connector plug.
It depends what you want to do with it, but from my experience with the edirol is that its reliable, versatile and easy to use. I use it for recording but also to control vst's , and it works flawlessly. No latency at all.
