Hello,
The problem started when I wanted to use a Patch I had made in an old song (with saved SysEx "Bulk/Temporary/All") to another new song and I couldn't save (write) the Patch from the Performance Mode to the User Patch Presets.
I have a Roland JV-1000 and I've been only sending SysEx as "Bulk/Temporary/All" to the computer sequencer when saving a song without an addition of "Bulk/Internal" separately inside. The "Bulk/Temporary/All" is fine cause it brings back the synth to the state the song needs, but when missing the Internal User Patch Presets is maybe a big fault I've been doing. Those 128 User Patch Presets have changed from time to time, when I need to make a new Patch I just overwrite another. So my question is, what if I wanna restore a Patch separately from inside the Performance Mode ? I cannot find a way to save (write) a Channel's Patch to the Patch Mode area. What if I want to save Channel 4's Patch to the User Patch Presets ? If I go to Patch Mode (after SysEx "Bulk/Temporary/All" was sent back to the synth) it always takes me to a certain Patch number and sound, and if I try to browse in there, then the saved Internal User Patches appear again (not the temp). I always thought I could restore any Patch when sending "Bulk/Temporary/All". If there is no way, then all the old Patches I have made are lost right ?
I just hope there is a solution. Do you think I am able, in some kind of way (the must be a way) to restore a Patch out of the Performance ?
