Controller Polyphony

I’m planning to buy a kurzweil sp88 as a controller for my modules.
Is the kurzweil's 32 voices of polyphony only for its internal patches and by that, can I consider that as a controller it cans end more than 32 notes at a time?
(or the 32 notes count for the MIDI output too?)

No, the polyphony is limited by the controlled module. If you controll a, let's say, Fantom Rack with 128 voices from the Kurz, you will have the 32 voices from the Kurz and the 128 voices from the Fantom. In theory, the Kurz can send all 128 notesignals at once, but it can only play 32 over the internal engine. Polyphony is alway limited by the module, not by the controller.
