Hello everybody I´m new in this forum.
What is your opinion, Nord Electro 2 or Roland V-Combo
Both instruments have a really good hammond sound but i can´t decide me.I played the V-Combo and heared the nord electro 2 in the very great "Flower Kings DVD".
I hope someone can help me.

Personally, I'd choose the V-Combo every time. It has a nicer feel and real drawbars, and a sound to die for. It also has a very reasonable acoustic piano which the Electro lacks. That said, the Electro is still a very nice board, it just lacks the flexibility and feel of the Roland, plus you can expand the Roland with SRX boards to have a wider set of sounds at your disposal.
The Flower Kings DVD is awesome, Tomas Bodin gets some amazing sounds out of his Electro, although some of the stuff I suspect was coming off his huge rack of synths and samplers rather than just off the Electro.

I would go for the Roland too, because I like the real drawbars. The Electros LED drawbars are good if you switch sounds often, because you always see which drawbar has which setting.
The Flower Kings DVD ist awesome, great musicanship.

Damn it. Now I had made up my mind to buy the electro, and then you guys made me confused again. Maybe V.combo.... How's the syth sounds on it? Any fat leads? And how's the clav? As good as electro?

I'd buy the Electro for sure. :)
The Nord Electro 2 is the next board to be added to my collection. :)

Electro by a mile. About the best B3, clav and rhodes out there ... if you like them mean. :D
The V .... like the drawbars, don't care for the keys, don't care for the tone ... not aggressive enough for me. Of course the V does more.
Best,
Jerry

It's really difficult.... both are graet boards. I think it depends on one's personal taste which board is bette for him!

Done some more thinking and I think it will be nord for me. It's much lighter than V-Combo and much easier to bring to gigs and rehearsals. But what about my Fender Rhodes markII now?

If you can't think of ANYTHING else to do with it, you can give it to me!
Seriously, I really want an Electro as well after playing one recently. The folks at Clavia really put a lot of effort in modeling the way the original instruments work, and you can hear it.

You can have it... or maybe not. I'm never gonna sell my girl. Her name is Emma and I'm in love with her. (Yes we are talking about a Fender Rhodes markII....) :D

Thanks for the posts.
I think the nord electro is my favorite because the hammond is so awesome. I need just a good hammond. For the piano or string tracks I use a Yamaha S90.
Sorry for my very bad english, I´m just a german "synthesizer freak"
