Hi,
I know some people might know that i am a classical purist totally into classical and jazz music but i also like Prog rock.
Keyboardists such as Kevin Moore and Jordan Rudess are my favourites in the genre. I like the way they play blazing prog rock solos on the keyboard and i would like to be able to play solos like that should i purchase Total Keyboard Wizardry book by Jordan Rudess?

I own a print copy of Total Keyboard Wizardry. I'd say it's more of a piano technique book than anything else, but it definitely has nice exercises in stuff like odd time signatures. It's not really solo-oriented, though, so I don't think it's what you're looking for. The DVD may be different, though. Perhaps Keyboard Madness is a better choice?

Personally I think his first DVD keyboard wizardry is the best to learn how to improvise and to learn the "prog rock" techniques hehe. Keyboard madness is more oriented on keyboard programming.
Jordan helps me A LOT with keyboard wizardry :)

I bought the book today. It has similar if not the same material as the Conservatory, but I find having the book easier, as I can have it next to me while practising instead of going abck and forth, and I can take it with me to college also.
It was a touch on the pricey side but the fact of it is it's a lot more linear than the OC. WIth the OC I can't get started, because I don't know where to start.

i have the book too, it is a bit easier then the OC. But I really like the new Etudes @ the OC. Those aren't in the book :P
i think with a combination of the OC and the book you will come in the right direction
