Alrighty, I looked at the manual and a lot of stuff is making me go "O.O" cause at times it feels like if it's in a different language.

Can someone give me like a dummies guide on how to make your own sound with different patches?

Also, can someone tell me if it's possible to rearrange the order of the patches on the K2600XS so that when I use my pedal to switch sounds I don't have to cycle through 20 sounds before getting to the one I want? Like JR has sounds 200-500 (for example) as those in order for what he wants to use in a concert, does he just save patches and fill them in newer banks? And is there a way to hook the Kurz on a PC to rearrange the order of patches in an easier way?

(I use a Kurzweil K2600XS and I'm trying to learn how to use different aspects of it, I've had it for 2 weeks now)

Thanks,
Emeric

Find a particular set of sounds you want
to use in order.

Go to edit mode and start saving them
in a bank where you'll remember their
location (eg. bank 200-215), by going
into edit mode, hitting save and when
it asks you where, you scroll to the
location you want...in our example
go to 200, then 201, then 202...etc. etc.

Or go to Master > Objects > Copy and copy the sounds you need in a new bank. It's faster than editing all programs, the effect is the same.

A few things.

You can reorganize all your programs and setups into banks

An easier way is to create Q Access. These can be combinations of
programs & setups.

Trick:
The quickest way too navagate around a Q Access is to use the numerical key pad, want the sound assigned to 5 press 5, 10 press 0...
This is one of many ways to get around additionally to the footswitch data inc.

In order for data inc to work you need to edit your setups & control setup (programs)

Programs:

Just edit a ControlSetup (works for all programs, data entrys...)

edit>footswitch (doesn't matter which layer, just pick one)

I usually use Ftsw3 for DataInc

Setups:

Each Setup needs to be editted individually to work!
edit>footswitch (doesn't matter which zone, but assign it just in one zone)

I usually use Ftsw3 for DataInc [press Enter & key F4]
