Alesis Fusion Question

Has the Alesis Fusion OS ever been updated so the USB port can be used to control midi?

no, and there is a hardware limitation that prevents them from doing so. It's only purpose is to mount the Fusion's HDD on your PC for file transfers.

that was a dumb move on alesis' part. it would have been sweet to have it be an out-of-the-box USB midi controller.

Yeah, as Jeeb said, it's a hardware limitation.

It definitely would have been sweet if Alesis had included USB MIDI, but I'll settle for having to use a midi cable in exchange for one of the best workstations out there! ;)


The glowing pitch bend wheel owns all!

Whilst the glowing pitch bend is cool, I think it's the fact that both the pitch and mod wheels vary in their brightness depending on how much you're bending or modulating :D
