Alrighty...this is my "Show Off" thread...it's not really showy...

I'll link you guys to a few songs. I recorded my audition pieces for college this year, some of them sound rough...these are the "best" takes...recorded on a LIVE piano (Yamaha C1 Baby Grand) at my school...mind you I spent two weeks doing this trying to get a decent recording, but I get really nervous while playing in front of a recording device or in front of a big audience.

Bartok - Dance in Bulgarian Rhythm Number 2

Bach - Fugue in D Major (WTC Book I)

Schubert - Impromptu in A flat Major Op.90, No.4

Bach - Prelude in D Major (WTC Book I)

Beethoven - Sonata in f minor Op. 2, No.1

**Here is an Elton John cover I did, I cut out some of the verses...

Here is my own composition...I basically sat down at my piano one day and played something off the top of my head...not very technical, but it's lyrical, I recorded this about 4 months ago, this is basically all improvised out...nothing Rudess-esque, but hey, it works...(Yes I know my piano was badly out of tune at the time)

Feel free to comment...it's nothing spectacular...thought I might sure...I'm not much great with the piano (guess everyone is their own biggest critic, but I never know how well I sound)...the last two tracks were recorded with my computer mic.

P.S. I know of the glaring mistake in the impromptu, the slip up in the fugue and a few other mistakes interspersed everywhere...lol...fully aware...nervousness kills.

Me likes. Got me beat on the classical playing, but I'm two years younger than you so I try not to feel too bad

Good stuff. Keep it up. :)

Emeric, Fantasic job, I really enjoyed the classical stuff and your own compositions were very tasteful. Nice playing all round. :D

Thank you guys very much...hopefully as soon as I get my new computer and the right stuff to hook up my Kurzweil I will be able to record some "non classical" music...in two weeks I might have a video of me playing the first movement of Brahms Cello/Piano Sonata in E minor (with a friend) and then the Fantasie Impromptu...so hopefully everything will go well.

I'm working on getting a decent audio interface and such to record things right onto my computer...and then maybe this summer I'll borrow my friend's mic and use that, I wrote a really pretty song...and don't worry, my voice has come long ways since my elton john cover up there...lol
