Back during christmas my friends brother was messing around on my Ensoniq-TS12 and he made it so EVERY SINGLE PATCH has a permanent portamento. I can't figure out how to turn it off and I would really like to kill the kid for messing up a really cool keyboard.

Does anyone know how I can get this setting to turn off? I couldn't find it in the instruction manual and the tech support lines aren't operational...

Thanks!!!

Reset it to factory defaults-

HOLD PRESETS BUTTON AND PRESS SOFT 1 BUTTON (UPP
ER LEFT CORNER OF DISPLAY). RELEASE BOTH BUTT
ONS. SELECT YES AT THE PROMPT.

Good luck!

I would do that, but I bought the keyboard off this other guy who had all the settings just right and he also had a bunch of really cool patches he had created, and i dont want to lose all that. if i reset it would i lose all of that?

I don't know much about your keyboards, but I think if we could change patchs's portamento, we can turn it again - right way !

if i reset it would i lose all of that?
yes, of course! But, try to look for some ways saving patchs setting ... connecting to comp - for example ?

Ive never heard of an Ensoniq (especially a "modern" one) with global portamento settings, thats a bit strange.

First, I would try to find an online copy of the manual. Look through the various Ensoniq users groups (like on Yahoo, etc...) and ask around.

Then, I would just look through your global settings for anything having to do with portamento (I think Ensoniq calls it "glide"). If you dont find anything, it should be an individual patch setting (like it is on my SQ1+ and ASR-X). Worst case scenario is you have to go through each patch and change them all.
