I can't seem to find the info out there, which means I might have already answered my own question. BUT, can the RD700 record multiple tracks or does it have the neat-o Skipback record function? Also, does it accept a sound input (plug in a guitar patchcord) to play a 'duet' with someone else?
:?:
Bummer if it can't record 4 track the user can put down, or if you can't directly import sound (other than the SRX add-ons) from somewhere else.

AFAIK, the RD700 is basically a digital piano, except with an additional set of sounds from the XV library. It's a performance board, so as I understand it, it doesn't have a sequencer or any type of sampler etc on it. So looks like you're out of luck. It's a great board for what it's designed to do, but it is not a workstation.

Snow- you need to go to Rolandus.com and read some spec
Martin is correct, the Rd 700 is a digital stage piano. I have one and it is awesome. And no, it does not have an audio input.
As far as I know, audio inputs in keyboards are used to take advantage of the effects of the keyboard. I suppose I don't understand your 'duet' sentence.
