So, since yesterday's experience of DT in RW festival was as I had been afraid it would be I'd like to hear your opinions on this one guys.
Do you think DT's show is appropriate for a non headlining place in a festival? What was your experience, if any?
My opinion (from my experience that is) is that in no way can the guys' songs be presented as they would like or as we would like to hear them if in such a situation because the sound alone needs someone that fully knows their songs, let alone the time they need to set their normal gear or the duration of a satisfying setlist. Then again, maybe it is because of the way what you call a "festival" is interpreted an organised over here... I think I'll be more clear after my review of their 1hour (:frown:) performance here.

I was there my friend and I got disappointed of that fact. They played for only an hour!!!Goodness gracious! And also Jordan didn't have his enormous modular synth, his Radias and his Memotron probably for timing reasons.Iced Earth played for 1 and a half hour.WHAT THE F....!!!

The thing is it wasn't only that, JLB's mic wasn't working half the time, it was obvious he also couldn't hear well from his in-ears, in most of MP's vocals his mic was off, the keys were either non-existent or really loud in the mix, half of the samples from HTF the keys' volume was down etc...
The thing is that even the headliners played for aprox. 1 hour...

Yes, indeed!DT had nice sound, but they could have better!
And for the headliners maybe they couldn't play more than an hour because of their age!I was surprised with Dio's voice and Appice's energy, so I can't blame them!
