I'm planning to buy a stand for the K2600XS. But i want it to look cool too. So I've been looking around and got some tips, and I found the Ultimate Apex (http://www.ultimatesupport.com/s.nl/it.A/id.227/.f?sc=14&category=44) stand from Ultimate Support. Each tier have a capacity of 125 lbs./56.8 kg.
Is there any other stands I should look for? Any other suggestions?

-Thanks

Hard to beat the Roland V-Stand for looks.

But both the V-stand and the Apex stand are difficult to use if you have a couple of pedals, am I right?

No - I have 2 pedals now, and there is enough room for 2 more. (V-stand)

V-stand is pretty much the best stand there is, I think. It scores very good it all aspects: stability, maximum weight (113 kg) design/looks, portability, quick installation, no small parts you can loose, you can buy an "add on" for a second keyboard.

I have an Apex and I wouldn't use it with a K2600X, 'cause the arms doesn't support extreme positions left and right, so the board starts to move up and down. Furthermore you have to buy the arms and the clamp for bigger boards... the K2600X is one of the biggest boards and the small arms won't hold it. Playing with more then one pedal per foot will be quite complicated.

The Apex is cool for small and/or light gear... I use it with the Nord Stage or the K2661 and had no problems. With the PC88 it's not that stabel and she is about eight to ten kg lighter, then the K2600X.

Don't know the V-Stand... I use my Rhodes as Stand for my K2661, it's VERY stable, has room enough underneath and sounds quite nice ;-)

Best regards

I love my $100 2 tier Proline stand from GC. I also have a old square tube stand with a removeable 2nd tier. Both are X frame design. For gigs I tape some black material from the bottom of the 2 lowest keyboards to hide the stands and my pedals.

Now that you mention it:
V-Stand has adjustable arms - you can spread them wide, if you want to support extreme positions, or you can lower the angle, for smaller keyboards.
Perfect for both large and small keyboards.

Highly recommend it, and if you want it in black, Ultimate has also a "V-stand" (http://www.performermag.com/images/ultimate.v-stand.jpg)
But silver looks cooler IMO

And Ultimate is shoddy on the build quality from what I hear.

I've got 2 ultimate Apexes and they're both rock solid. The one I bought from ebay is several years old and the legs don't lock as solid as the newer one does (that doesn't really matter though because the weight of anything on it holds it in place), but I've never had any issues with either of them.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The Ultimate V I have heard is not very quality, not other Ultimate stands. I'm using an Ultimate X-stand right now and love it.

I like my home made square steel stand :-D its sturdy doesn't shake and tares apart and puts together in about 1 minute :) And even though its pretty thick steel it actually isn't as heavy as u would think :) http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa118/djpacman2007/MyHome.jpg

Do you have a Roland or an Ultimate?

Do you have a Roland or an Ultimate?

dosent matter, there both made by ultimate just like the skeleton for the V-drums.

i own a Ultimate Deltex, a Silver Apex, and 2 Proel X stands (single braced and double braced), my favorite is the silver apex because there very rare and expensive in my country, so not many keyboardist have them, it also looks the coolest, but you will defently need the heavy duty arms & Clamp for larger keyboards.

although i been looking at the V-Stand and if i see one on sale, im sold, i have a fetish

I have Roland V-Stand. But Maximus is right: it doesn't matter, they are both made by Ultimate - Roland just has it's logo on it.
But from what I've heard, Ultimate V can not support large keyboards - it has something to do with smaller arms or something... I don't remember.

What do you think about these stands?

IMHO
They are provide a good support and good for more than 2 keyboards.
But it's pain in the ass to assemble them, and there are lot's of parts you can loose. Not practical.

Does the Roland V-stand support larger keyboards?

Yeah, like I said it can support up to 113 kg. It supports my keyboard (88 keys 30 kg) perfectly - even in the extreme positions.
It's designed for large keyboard.

Don't blame me if you are not happy with it  but I'm almost certain you will have no regret.

As long as it keeps my Kurz stable, have great quality, and looks cool, I can't be disappointed.

I'm very satisfied with this one: http://www.thomann.de/de/km_18950.htm

- very stable
- can be adjusted in many ways (height, width, ancle)
- offers many options (second floor, mic arms, score boards)
- has plenty of room for Pedals
- nice to carry when folded

...and it features that certain "Vintage Rhodes Look" ;-)

I'm using it with the K2500X plus the second Floor holding a Nord Electro and never had any problems.
