Keyboard Rig setup - amp section

Hey Everyone, I just started keyboarding and i'm relativly new to the recording side of everythign, could someone just exaplin to me hwo the amp/speakers work.. i saw monitors .. but what are they powered by? are they powered moniotrs? could someone suggest a setup/ I'd rather go with a stereo setup and could someone suggest stuff in differnet price ranges thanks, you could add me to your msn if you have it.. nick_cor @ hotmail.com I have lots more questions as well... so feel free to tutor me!

There are so many ways you can do this for keyboards, and I suggest you actually TEST various speakers to find the ones who give you the best range and most accurate sound (EQ-wise).

When it comes to amps, the easiest way is a power amp like Alto Mistral 900 or 1500. They have two channels, so you can run one as left and one as right, giving you stereo with adjustable volume for each side.
