Is it possible to put a different sound and layers on every key with the Kurzweil PC1x? Like Jordan does... So you kan have three sounds on the C, and two other sounds on the F, and from G to C i can put one other sound and so on and so on... And can I cahnge sounds with a footswich for a lead, but still have the sound from last program looping with the sustain pedal??

Just some questions I need to know before buying... I'm shure I'll have more questions soon, but this is it for now...:D

Take care:D

Hmm, I'm pretty sure that you can;t layer so much. Brett, (tokakure) knows all about this. But I think a PC1X is incapable of doing that. That last issue however, is possible I think.

You're limited to 4 Zones in Setup mode, and you can't edit the programs layer-wise.

You can change sounds and still have the previous sound playing until you completely let go of the notes for that sound.

Is it not possible to press the key, press the sustain pedal, change sound, and play with the new sound with the sustain pedal holding on to the previous sound??? Because if you have to hold the previous sound with your hand, it's limited of what you can play with a backing sound... get my point?

btw. THANKS!!!

Another thing: Would you recommend the PC1x? I wont be making my own sounds, cus I believe the sounds included are more than enough. And the price is good too.. Plus there's a ton of things you can do with the PC1x, so I don't think I need more.. would you recommend it?

I've read the manual, and there it says: You can split the board into four parts, and with all four, you can have two different layers...
ex:

#1 Bass+percussion
#2 Piano+strings
#3 Flute+ahh-voice
#4 Lead+xylophone

These are just "sounds-out-of-the-blue", but it makes my point: Both layering and splitting is possible...

I believe this keyboard is just what I need: Many quality-sounds, the piano for one, many effects and more, plus 88 weighted keys!!!

You can assign a data inc to a pedal.
Patch hold is a feature on all Kurz keyboards.
