my name is Anthony and im 15...i jus joined a band that demands alot of sound changes in a short amount of time. I have a korg Triton 88 key keyboard. I wanted to know wut type of pedal i need to change the sounds. I thought it might be an assignable pedal, but i want to make sure before i purchase one.
Boss Fs-5u, that's the best choice

Does that pedal fit all boards??
Yes, it does, it needs a normal "Jack" (At least in Italy we call it in this way) Mono input and it works with any maker.. only a bit expensive but not too much

expensive? 30 euro's? But how can you program it to do that. I know that JordanR. uses 2. One for patch change and one for his leslie effect.

You don't program the pedal, you program the board to do the things you want it to do with the pedal! :D
Anyway, back to the grand prix :)

So, this pedal won't work on any synth? Or didn't I get it right?

The pedal will work with any synth that will accept a pedal. But you'll have to set, actually on the synth, what you want the pedal to do (usually in a Controllers menu or something similar)

Pardon me for being stupid, what is JR's "leslie effect" ?

"leslie effect" means the Leslie (rotary speaker system) simulation that's used with organ sounds etc. Most boards with hammond sounds will include some kind of Leslie sim, or will have switchable layers including the leslie sample (as the E-MU does). The Alesis Microverb has quite a sweet sounding leslie effect as well :)

Hey Martin, the Leslie sim of the E-MU is available just on the B3 expansion or also in the Vintage collection?

There *is* a bit of leslie sim on some of the B-3 patches in the Vintage collection, it's not very good and hard to distinguish from the vibrato, though. The B-3 rom has a much better collection of sounds altogether (I only use the Six Out and a couple of the others from the Vintage one).

Hey, as you probably now by now I have the Proteus 1000, but it only has one slot for an expansion board, so I have to decide wich one, I use a lot of hammond but also mellotron (wich for me is the best sound ever), but the quality of the hammond worries me, cause the main board ones aren`t very good, so....
thanx Martin
