Hello again!I want help on how to make a wah effect on my K2600X leads or on any program sound! Also I want to know if Jordan has a real wah pedal at stage or it is a cc pedal and he makes his wah effect from the Kurzweil.Keyboard Madness dvd shows that it is a Roland cc pedal but in Live at Budokan seems to be a real wah pedal.

I believe he uses Ernie Ball Volume pedals as his "wah" controllers. If you're not running them inline, I think you'd have to buy a TRS to dual 1/4" Send/Return cable, and hook that to the control pedal input. I've never used that kind of pedal not being inline though, so don't count on my advice.

I use a Roland EV-7 on my K2661 and it works perfect. It's quite expencive, but the controlangle is very close to the controlpedal of my C3. The EV-5 is working too.

I already have a kurzweil cc pedal. It's fine, but plastic construction. But how can I make a wah effect on a sound on kurzweil?I need help!I know that wah is like a low filter, but that's all.I need instruction on how to make a wah!If someone knows and already made a wah effect on his sound on a kurzweil...like Jordan's wah effect on his Jordan's lead sound in Budokan (see JR's keyboard solo). Thanks a lot for your patience!

Wah is a bandpass filter I belive, not a low pass.

There are two possibillities to make the waheffect happen:
1. you program an KDFX-Studio with an effect called 'Envelope Follow Filter'. This is a waheffect, but it is triggered by the amplitude of the incomming signal. I think, there is a possibillity to control it via the footpedal, but I didn't try it.
2. you use a 'shaper'. That's a DSP-function, not an effect, so it's found in the Programeditor. It's not easy to obtain a good waheffect, but if you found the right settings, it sounds very good and you safe PAUs for other effects.
Can't go to detail at the moment, 'cause my K2661 is in a rehearsalroom and I'll see it tomorrow again. Perhaps I have a wah-sound loaded into the P-RAM. If it's so, I can wright more about it.

OK, had no leadsynth in my current soundsettings, but an e-piano with a wahlike effect. In this case, it was made with the KDFX:
The corresponding KDFX-Algorithm is "903 Resonant Filter" with the following adjustments:
Wet/Dry - don't really remember it, this you have to adjust to you own liking.
FilterType - Bandpass
Frequency - this is controlled through the pedal and the settings are made in the FXMod-pages, so here is the entry "FXMod"
Resonance - controlled by a fader, also done on the FXMod-Page something between 0 and 10 dB AFAIR.
Outgain - don't really remember
So, this is the right effect, the adjustments for the pedal are all done on the FXMod-Pages. If you want to use it with a lead, you probably want to use a distortion after the wah...
Hope this helps
