I am about to sell my JX-3p on Ebay.
I have managed to work out my midi rack and existing setup in such a way that I am able to achieve all the sounds I need with 2 keyboards instead of 3. Here's my question:
I have one non-working C key on the JX. Is it better to do an "As-Is" auction and carefully explain the situation on the C-key in my description? (Probably the sensor is just bad or something). Or should I take it to a local repair shop and have the work done prior to listing it on ebay ?
I'm guessing the JX-3p probably won't get more than 150.00 in an auction. (I am throwing in a free Anvil Forge 2 case with it).
Any thoughts ? :?

I'd say sell it as is, someone might buy it and repair it themselves, or use it as a sound module or something, but it could cost you a lot of money to get repaired which probably wouldn't be worth it for you...

I'm not registered in ebay, but I'd sell it as is. You can offer that you go to a store and repair it if the one who bought it wants and pays the complete costs for that.

I agree... Sell it as it is... If the guy who wants it really wants it, he'll fix it...

I'd try and sell it as is. Don't use a reserve. I know that I typically don't even waste my time with autions that have a reserve. Instead figure out what the minimum is that you'll take, and use a starting bid.

Good luck with your auction, John.
