On THURSDAY JULY 12th 2007, Symphony X will be performing at the Webster Theater in HARTFORD, CT.

I will be joining the band SEVERANCE that day as we, along with some other bands, are competing to open for Symphony X. This is all based on ticket sales. The bands with the most sales by the date of the show, get to open for Symphony X on main stage. I will be joining SEVERANCE as a keyboardist for their part of the set.

If ANY of you are in the CT/NY/NJ area and are interested in coming to the show, please do so. I will get you all information (and post it back in this thread) regarding how to buy tickets from us and about the show. Unfortunately, we will not know whether or not we are on main stage until the day of the show, but all we can hope is that if we advertise this enough and can get people to come...that we may have a shot.

Here is the band's myspace: http://www.myspace.com/severancemusicct

I hope you enjoy their stuff...the keys and vocals aren't on the myspace, though they will be there live at the show. Hopefully they can find a vocalist by then, they are still auditioning several singers (if any of you are interested in singing too and like this kind of stuff and want to try out for these guys if they are still singerless, contact them!)

Anyways, that is my shameless plug of the evening. If you guys like what you hear and you love Symphony X, please come support us at that show and help us get main stage!

Thanks,
Emeric

If you buy tickets from the band (you can get them through me too), they come at a discounted price of $17.00 (SEVENTEEN US DOLLARS).

There is no competition per say on the day of the event. It basically comes down to this - On Thursday July 12th, whichever band has sold the most tickets gets to play mainstage. I'm still not 100% sure on what time it is at, I will get back to you guys on that...but tickets through the band are 17 bucks (which is hella cheep), and regardless of whether we get main stage or not, we are going to rock out for a half an hour and then enjoy the Symphony X show. I hope more people can from this forum can come!
