Karma Frustration! Please help me!!!

To anyone out there with any knowledge of the Korg karma, please help me with this. I have a Karma with V1.0.4 on it and want to update it to V2.0.0. The problem is, I installed the OS and seemed to have no problems. Did not install any of the GE's, Combi's, Programs, etc. But, when I installed that stuff, the keyboard would freeze up after about five played notes and play an extremely high pich, at which point I would just have to turn the karma off. I can't figure out what to do! Please help.

Did you follow the upgrade instructions exactly as ordered? If you haven't read Stephen Kay's "upgrading in detail" manual (NOT included with the install data at korg.com), check it out at http://www.karma-lab.com/Files/Loading_2.0_in_detail.pdf (Adobe Acrobat required). The new GE disk must be immediately loaded after the upgrade as the GE format was modified slightly.

To completely erase the contents of the keyboard's memory, hold down ENTER + LOCATE, and turn on the power. Continue holding until you see a blank screen.
