Question about gear

My friend started playing a little while ago, and I wanted to know what kind of cable to hook up to an amp (I know this is a really stupid question so I appoligize) I can find out what kind of keybaord it is if that helps.. thanks

It really depends on the Keyboard & the amp that you're plugging into. If you bought a pair of 1/4 inch patch cords, you'd probably be pretty safe. Sometimes I plug my Kurz into a directbox with 1/4 inch cables. Sometimes I plug my Kurz into a small mixing board with 1/4 inch jack on one side & XLR on the other. I think the Kurz K2600 has balanced outs, which means you'd probably want a pair of cables with XLRs on both ends. If you're trying to get your friend some cables as a gift, 1/4 inch cables are always handy.

Generally speaking, any decent amp will require a 1/4 inch cable. You can get this at any decent local music store. Just ask for guitar cable. same thing.
