I know of two really good resources. They're geared towards specific pieces of gear, but you can really apply all of the general concepts to anything.

go here (http://www.accessmusic.de/downloads.php4?product=virusa#cat4) and look for the "Virus programming tutorial in English." I found it when I was downloading stuff for my Virus and it had tons of general subtractive synthesis theory in there.

Also, the Analog Synthesis tutorials for my Alesis Fusion are very good at showing basic concepts. You can download several of them here (http://www.alesis.com/index.php?id=56,87,0,0,1,0).

Why didn't it help? What would have helped more? (This isn't an attack; we genuinely want to know.)
