Hey! my band has up some new songs at www.myspace.com/hakenmusic
Theres elements of prog/funk/metal/latin/jazz, the whole lot! ignore the 'sample mix', its NOT a song, but just a teaser thing MP style to give an overall view of the two songs up there; 'snow' and 'souls'.
if people have the time it would mean a lot if you could give it a listen! And add us if you have myspace or feedback hejre if u dont. i cant remember if this is the right place but i hope it is and im not breaking any rules!
thanks a lot :)

Woah, this is good. Not even at 2 minutes of snow yet, and I love it.
Finally a good singer!
Awesome job.

Ok I've only listened to Snow as of yet, and it's sounding pretty good, the music/playing is really good, I like the structure of the song, however in the mix I find the singing to be, what can you say, outside the rest of the mix. It's hard to explain and I guess it's not that much of a problem (but I'm picky bout these things), but at times it feels like someones singing to a backing track if you know what I mean. Like it feels put on top, not blended in. And at some places like in the beginning I feel it's a bit low/weak compared to the other instruments, it's hard to hear what's being said. That's what missing in the mix IMO. But really, the band's sounding great. Keep up the good work!

Have listened "Snow" for three times....
too progressive for me.

Very cool stuff - very progressive, I love the first bit of snow especially, the singing and harmony is excellent. In my opinion the growling could do with a bit of work, and I'm not sure about finishing with the guitar just going around the blues scale, it feels a bit cheesy after the rest of the song. Otherwise I love it - seriously good, keep it up!
