Ok guys and gals.

Here is my gear for the upcoming festivities...

Korg Oasys
Haken Continuum (with an very cool new playing surface)
Roland V-Synth XT
Korg Radius
Synthesizers.com modular

and here is an unusual addition- check it out!
Maniken "MEMOTRON". (not a Mellotron but close!) http://www.manikin-electronic.com/products/memotron/memo_description_right_e.html

The solo album is in the hands of my guests at the moment.
The title of the album will be "The Road Home"
Vocal tracks and guitar tracks have been coming in and they sound amazing.
I am very excited about this album!
In a few weeks I will release the names of my guest artists.

I have been deep in the studio pressing buttons getting ready for the tour and
working on production for my solo album
It is also a big job getting the JR world tour gear organized .
Maybe my beard will be even more gray after all this work!

That's it for now!

can you show us a picture of that cool new thing for your continuum?

I've played it, and in fact got the same new surface for my own Continuum. It doesn't look that different from the old "piano-key" surface, except that Jordan's white Continuum now has a black-and-red surface rather than the old black-and-white surface you may be more familiar with. (His black Continuum always had the red-and-black surface.)

The big difference is that the material for the surface is new, and doesn't stretch as much as the old one, so the notes stay aligned better, and it's now textured, so it's much easier to feel the notes as you slide around on the surface. It feels like it won't wear out or fade as easily as the old one, either. Overall, it's a much more "musical" playing experience.

How true! Every keyboard player knows what a pain it is to try to figure out the inputs and outputs from the front of the keyboard. It's a great idea.

The Memotron is a digital keyboard with full-length digital samples of the original Mellotron sounds. As such, it plays and sounds just like the original Mellotron (or as much as a digital version of an analog instrument can), but it's much more practical for live performance. From what I've heard, it sounds great.

I'll post a couple of pictures of the Continuums (Continua?) soon.

Since continuum is a name, the right verb is Continuums ;)

There was a review in a german Keyboard magazine last month and the official price was listed as being EURO 1990,-
Donīt think street prices will be much lower than that.

call me ignorant, but other than the real-time controls, what exactly does the Radius offer that the Oasys using the VA engine and Karma 2 doesn't?

Wasn't it modeled after that?

Hahaha, seriously who needs 128 note polyphony when you can have 1000 note polyphony?

Who would ever know that a good ascending chromatic run would include a nice cardiovascular workout as well?
