Dear forummembers,
Past Thursday I went to Köln in Germany, when I was there I entered the largest music shop in Europe.
Maybe you can guess it already, I fell in love with a synth..
It's the Kurzweil PC2x. I just loooove the key-feeling. Exactly like our piano at home. It costs about €2000,- there. That is waaay too much for me. So I went on the internet searching for cheaper possibilities. After 5 minutes I came on SameDayMusic.com where the PC2x goes away for like $1850 which is something like 1300 euro. But they only ship whithin the USA.... :frown:
You can probably guess my question already.. Is there someone willing to get my order at his/her home and send it through to me. I will forward pay the costs of the shipping you make.
I would really apreceite it if someone would do that for me.
Kind regards,
RemcoG from the Netherlands

So you went to the MusicStore?
I live in Belgium, and I can say that high tax rates (the main cause of the price difference) is killing me. If you buy something in USA, it's almost always 1/3 cheaper than here.
But you should trust anyone you don't know really good. And even if you know someone very good, think twice before trusting them, believe me

Yeah. Guess you're right about the trust thing... I'm asking my familly around if they know some people well.
And about the Music store.. It's kind of dissapointing. But I've been in the depot.. and THAT'S HUUUUGE ! I've never seen something like that in my life. Did you know that you can order a free catalogue? Kind of cool to cycle through the pages watching for cool gear.

Disappointing? How is that?
And yeah - I knew that you could order a free catalogue. But I don't see why I should. There is a completely full online catalogue on their site...

Even if you find someone of trust, keep in mind that you 'll have to pay import taxes, customs and heavy-object shipping, which I believe would come really close (if not more) than 2000€

Shipping will be hell, because of insurance, and trust me, you'll need insurance!.
Then add another 20% for import taxes (and they will use European catalogue values for this, not what is printed on the ticket).
And then you will have to switch the voltage, which can be very simple or ..... maybe not.
And you won't have guarantee..........
I don't think it's an option to import.
Wouldn't you rather wait for the Pc3 that comes in the summer.
It looks very promising.
The price is in Holland 2700 euros but you will get a discount on that.

Coen is right about that one....
You could try to get some information from UPS, Fedex or companies like that...
But add the things Coen mentioned and you'll something very expensive...
Keep that in mind!!!
Stainlessly,

Yeah.. I must admit, the PC3 looks great! I think I know what to do. I'm going to keep my UF8, I'll buy my laptop. And from then off I'm going to save up for the PC3 (if it has just a nice keyfeeling as the PC2)
