I know this was discussed a while ago but, i still wasnt able to come up with a new lead synth on the motif.. i tried everythin :P. i mean im goin for a sound like.. take Vanden plas for example. there synths are SIck . how the hell do u get that
perfect distorted sound on the lead synth.. sure i tried throwing in a distorted guitar as one of the effects. but it still sounds pretty crappy :P plus. where it gives u the option to switch waves, (tri, saw, square, etc.) it does nothing what so ever.
it seems that there not much u can do to alter the sound.. there must be somethin im missing.
Any Information will be helpful :P
thank you

I think so, Yamaha's synth lead can't be good
I love Jordan Rudess's synth lead voices. As in Rhythm of time. Where did they come from? Kurzweil or Korg?
Andromeda ( Martin Hedin ) is also good in making Synth lead voices
try www.motifator.com they have extensive patches, advice and other bits and pieces you may find helpful. Finding the perfect lead SHOULD NOT be limited by your board. If you know what youre going with your keyboard you should be very able to achieve a good lead.

what kind of sound are you looking for? I've been able to come up with several decent sounding leads on my Motif. The only thing that I ever found it lacking in was the note aliasing if I used too much portamento.
As said above, a decent programmer should be able to make good sounding sounds on any instrument.
If you want a Jordan Rudess lead sound, just take the elements of his main lead sound (discussed ad nauseum in here) and build it in the Motif. You'll have to use 4 voices and combine them into a Performance, but it can be done.

That was a Kurz, for the most part.

.
You wouldnt happen to still have that lead floating about would you jeebustrain  cause i remember that calmar was going to share his JR lead on the motifator forums but it never appeared.
