I'm planning to buy a used K2500 Rack without any upgrades like ROM blocks, sampling, KDFX and so on... So, my quistion is: Is it easy to install the upgrades in this rack?

Besides of the ROMs and RAM: no. Installing the upgrades by the user himself was made possible with the K2600 generation. For the K2500 generation, I would still give to a service center, unless it's either ROMs or sample RAM.

So, you mean that I can install the ROMs and sample RAM by myself?

I wouldn't do it!!!

There was even a testimonial in the old forum as to the horrors this might bring up. I think it was RexGtr who screwed it all up and was without his Kurz for almost a year and with a hefty bill to boot.

Don't do it yourself. Take it to an authorized service center.
