message from Mike Portnoy:
Hey Everybody!Well it looks like Dream Theater is no longer the only band in the universe without a My Space page!!Through the help of our new friends at Roadrunner Records, www.myspace.com/dreamtheater is now alive and kicking... We encourage all of our great friends and fans to help make this *YOUR* space for all things DT! We already have some great existing fan universes and information sources with DT.NET and here at MP.COM, as well as the other band member's sites, but now by adding www.roadrunnerecords.com and www.myspace.com/dreamtheater to the band's arsenal, we can show everybody in cyberspace who has the greatest, craziest and most devoted fans in the world!! : ) Enjoy!MP

Bleh, now I might have to succumb and get a myspace account. I'm afraid that resistance will prove futile. :frown:

As long as I don't see "myspace.com/dreamtheater" on systematic chaos then I think I'll live.
Ugh. I hate "Myspace bands"

I hate myspace in general, but oh well. I guess we should have seen it coming in this day and age.

Somehow I highly doubt that. Could that be from the new Neal Morse album? The same drum fill is in one of the clips at nealmorse.com (Intro).

yeah, i got "Sola Scriptura". imho one of the best Soloalbums from Neal. you get a big mix of all styles. sometimes its hard, sometimes emotional, sometimes more like the old Spocks, sometimes more like Transatlantic. Next to Testimony his best work if you ask me...

Don't lie to me. I have listened to ? dozens of times and there's no way that section could be from that record.
EDIT: While watching sneak peeks I found out they actually showed a cover of ? while that piece was being played but just after that they showed the cover of One, so I presume the song is from that album.

dude, first of all i am not "lying". it is definately off a Neal Morse REcord, maybe itīs off "one" and not "?" but if you check this trailer:
http://hudsonmusic.com/features/portnoy_sneakpeak.html
then trailer sneek peek two that piece of sound appears right after the "?" cover.

Dude, don't take my words too seriously, sometimes my ironic side just writes with a lofty style and I'm not even realising it until someone takes offense. So my "you lied to me" contained no aggressive stance, it was just a synonym for "that's not true". Maybe I should add more smileys to my posts? :)

Personally I think it's really lame for anybody to be on Myspace. Horrendous website and culture.
But yet, I beleive some good will come out of it. I mean it will expose people used to a monochrome image of music to a little more colour. Perhaps even some flavor.
And maybe one day, just maybe, our radios and TVs won't be plagued with the same mind numbing crap.
NOT!
May your fanbase grow to infinity! We're waiting for you in Montreal!

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH! Not another MySpace page! Who has time? Thankfully there's still a main DT site. MySpace just sucks time out of my life waaaaaay too much, I can't get sucked any further into the vortex by creating an account.
(Yeah, the station has a MySpace page too, but that was Greg's idea :-) )
