Is there any way that you can do slurring using a pitch bender.

The same effect can be had by not practicing. :P

Just joking.

Do you actually mean trying to achieve a legato feel?
I'm not exactly sure I understand the question.

Well. You could use glide. But that doesn' t quite do it, does it...
In my JV-1010 there's this legato thing you can turn on that kinda gives that feel. I don't like it much tho.

(Big help here  )

I like programming the -y axis on the joystick, an assignable knob, or a ribbon controller (like on the Trinity and Triton) with an envelope to roll off the attack of the sound to achieve that effect. You could also do this with a CC pedal.

Thanks for the help and the information you lot said i will try everything you said to acheive that legato feel.

The reason for it is because i want to solo in legato mode, i like the sound of it.

I'd use Portamento. Set the port time to about 2 or 3... use either full or fingered, depending on your preference. *Shrugs* That's just my take on it. What kind of voice are you trying to slur?

On my main lead sound, I have glide (or portamento) assigned to my modulation wheel, so that I can bring it in and out when needed and can also change the effect of it. It's quite easy to do on most synths.

If it's just the occasional note you're trying to get the effect with, or you don't have a mod wheel, you could get a slurred effect by using the old guitarists' trick of pre-bending the note... ie hold the pitch wheel down, play the note you want it to rise to, and then gradually bring the wheel up to pitch. It's a bit tricky, but quite effective once you've mastered it.
