Hey. So I was wondering if anyone has any experience writing music for commercials. I've recently come up with some pretty short catchy tunes that although I wouldn't see it fitting into and album of mine or I couldn't see me playing it live in a show, I could definitely hear it played to a modern commercial like iPod, Coca-Cola, or a modern looking car commercial. They always seem to have funky cool music to accompany the coolness they're trying to advertise for their product.
Does anyone have any experience in this, or know where to go/who to talk to if you want to write short pieces for commercials? I think it would be something fun to do on the side. I believe Hiromi did songs for Nissan commercials before she started making records. So it may also be a good way, although different way, to get your "foot in the door", and get your name out there.
