Yo I almost have my diploma here and after that I´m going to study. Which means that I have less time to play, I am also aproaching the age that I can legaly drive a car (18 here in holland), should I save money to get myself a car and transport myself easier, or should I save money to buy a new 88-key worstation ( perhaps an Oasys )???
Give me some advise...

Cars are not good investments in general (not the kind of car you are probably talking about getting anyway) Id go for the Oasys or.... get a Korg Triton studio AND a decent used car:)

with a car you can drive yourself around, find a job, make money and THEN buy an 88 key super-duper synth ;)
otherwise:
you'll buy an oasys.. you can only look and play it.. and, well.. who cares of jobs and girls if you own an Oasys? :D

p.s.:
get a car ;)

i dont know if holland is the kaind of place where you can get around witout a car, but my country is not that kind of place, 2 years ago ive didn't upgrade my car, bought a triton extreme instaed, for me it was the right choice, 'cause i already had a car

Are you going to a university where you won't need transportation and won't have much time to play the keyboard? If so, then I'd get neither the car nor the Oasys, but rather invest the money until after you're done with your studies. At that time you can get a car that will be four (or however many) years more up-to-date than a car purchased now at the same cost.
Personally, I can't afford an Oasys, but I'm going to be looking at cars this summer (inexpensive used ones, but not so cheap that they require fixing all of the time). The only problem is finding a vehicle that has enough room for me plus a K2600X in a protective case.

Car. The oasys is great, but you can do a lot with a cheap keyboard until you save up enough money

if you're in a band or play live music the problem with buying an Oasys instead of a car is; how are you going to get your gear to band practice? but then if you go the car, you won't have anything to take to band practice...
Actually in a few months I'll be faced with a similar problem privided I pass the license test, only I'm thinking of a motif rather then the Oasys. The questions you should ask your self are; have you already got a keyboard and do you absolutely need a car?
Remember that a car is always going to cost, its not an asset, the Oasys, however, (provided it doesn't break down) is a one time payment (apart from maybe insurance)
Car. No question. Get a mid range car and youll still have enough to buy a decent synth.

Well,
I think I'm gonna get a car first, I think it's better because when I'm done and I got my diploma, I'm gonna get an instant job, well kinda,
I'm joining the army
Not just as a soldier but I will be educated, I will even go to a university ( on the army's costs:tongue: )
It's a special scientific luitenants course, which requires a high diploma with some tough mathematics( which I will have in a few months). The thing is that the first year I'm stuck to the royal militairy academy. This means I don't have time to play:frown: .
On the other hand It's also a job so I'll get paid from the moment I start which means: a lot of money,...
No time to play, far away and a lot of money to spend:tongue: ,
SO first a car then an Oasys would be the best
Thanks for helping me out
(P.s I do have time to play until august should I get a (cheaper)fantom before then??? )
