Very nice, me and my drummer are making that kinda music too hope I can post something somewhere too.
I didn't know that there was a device that could simulate a saxophone or any other instrument of that kind. Pretty cool actually... makes me wonder, should I get a Motif too???
Thanks for posting....

That controller David uses in the video is a Yamaha BC-1 which worked in conjunction with the VL expansion card for the Motif and Motif ES series keyboards. It comes standard as part of the library on the new Motif XS.
I've been able to replicate solo trumpet, violin, sax, lead guitar and a whole assortment of non authentic and synthy sounds with the breath controller pretty well.

Sancious has been using the breath controller with Yamaha boards for about 20 years. I have the Sting Soul Cages tour video and he uses it for some stuff on that too.

Hmmm, that was going all very nice until they decided to completely leave taste, decency and common-sense musicality behind and go completely off on one in the middle. Reminded me exactly what I hate about certain types of jazz. Lovely sounds and great playing apart from that, but that middle section was just unnecessary IMO and completely ruined what could have been a really nice tune.

Well, I see your point Spacehog.. but I have gone the other way, from not liking that middle part to actually like them.. donīt know why and how, but I see those places as really expressive.. of course not all of them, but at least this one
