Has anyone tried the Bose in-ear headphones as in-ear monitors? Was wondering how they compare to Shure or Westone.

The bose in-ears are nothing short of total junk (not unlike just about everything else Bose makes). If you're looking for a good, cheap in-ear solution, check out the Altec Lansing Inmotions, which are rebadged Etymotic ER4's that at about 1/3rd the price. You can have ear molds made for these by westone as well.

If it's like any of their other products, I wouldn't expect it to be any good.

Excellent alternatives in the ~100$ price range are also the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 Studio (highly recommended in the price range by a proud owner  ) and the Shure e2c.
