Just seen this from Arturia : given their pedigree of excellently-modelled soft synths, e.g. the CS80, etc., they've now turned their attention to the Roland Jupiter 8, so the new soft synth is the Jupiter 8V !

The Arturia site (www.arturia.com) seems to be down at the time of writing this, presumably ready for the onslaught of interest once NAMM kicks off in 7 hours time...

This synth is the reason I got into pro keyboards upon seeing it way back in 1981 in "Electronics & Sound Maker" magazine over here in the UK, so, as I'm 40 on April 13th, I know what I want for my birthday !

Santa didn't bring me an OASYS 88, and I bought an Triton Extreme 88 'cos I couldn't wait to see what Korg are unveling as the Triton replacement (supposedly) today...

WOW!!! I can't wait! I love my Minimoog V. Arturia really has their act together when it comes to replicating the analog sound of these instruments. A Jupiter 8 will be a nice addition but i still would love to see someone create a K2600 or a Matrix 12 Vsti. : )

a Matrix 12 Vsti

Now there's a thought - I can't actually believe they did a CS80, 'cos that's one of my all-time fave keyboards too, and it's awesome in softsynth form as well.

This is'nt as cool as the Jupiter 8V but here is another new Vsti (from Korg). :)

Well I remember when this and the Polysix first came out.

This is gonna be on my shopping list too, tho don't know what to do about the fact they've moved the Wavestation part out, presumably to the Digital Edition along with the M1 ?

how cool it would be if the jupiter 8 could be written in code for a oasys EXi
