I have an old trinity plus which I love, but it's been giving me a headache lately. Problem is that I loose the audio signal (even in headphones line)after some playing and then I have to restart the thing to get it to play again. But there's times this rebooting won't help. I was thinking that maybe it's an OS problem. Has anyone got the same problem? any suggestion, help?
Thanks!

Hello Tsekub,
I faced this problem quite few times myself on a T + 2.3.
It is not the OS.
The problem seemed strange since for a loose soldering you can have a problem with the outputs and the headphone are OK but the problem was all over.
I was so pissed I opened the beast and started looking inside and here goes:
1- The soldering on the 4 outputs was really weak, so I did a second pass of solder on all the tips so it was rock solid.
2- there is a small cable it looks like the audio cable you connect to your CD ROM drive if you know what I meen 3 colored small cables connected to a small plastic connector (actually 2 or 3 with colors can't remember)...anyway this guy is connected to the headphone outlet took it out and tightened it in back a gain and checked all other cable with plastic connectors.
3- closed the thing back and it worked fine since .
WHY????? I don't have the slightest Idea... but it works
The problem was really coming and going all the time and reseting and running the test diagnosis on the thing didn't fix it.
what I can tell you is GOOD LUCK.

Thanks WoofWoofX.
I've updated my OS to v2.41 and seems to have solved the problem. But if it comes back, i'll see about that soldering thing.
