View Full Version : Stacking two K2500 units
Hi,
is it possible to use a second K2500 unit tow increase the polyphony of a K2500? Like connecting both, but playing just on one board while the second one is just used to provide more voices or DSP... I don't think this is possible, but perhaps it would be a good idea for any future synth, what do you think?

I did that for a while with a K2500XS and a and an RS midied together.
The combination is very powerfull to say the least.

I would love to have a 2661 to sit above my K2500XS. In addition to the added benefit of bigger sound, I could have a backup keyboard and two different sets of keys.
Probably won't happen for a while.

A K2661 + K2600 RS = a VERY powerful and compact setup.

doesnt JR use a K2600x with two additional kurzweil rackmounts live? or was that just in his studio?
Yes, he does :-)
Mmh, but then I would have to program my sounds this way (setup mode): sound 1 is a local sound, sound 2 comes from the second unit and so on...?
Or could I perhaps in program mode just connect two K2500s and play ONE sound with 92 voices instead of 48 voices?
