Edit program 199, default program. On the Keymap page, pick keymap 163 Sine Wave. (The keymap won't actually be making the sound, but you need a sustaining keymap).
Go to the algorithm page and select one of the algorithms that lets you pick a DSP sine wave. 8 or 9 are good ones. Dial up a sine wave on the first DSP block. Set the other blocks to None.
Highlight the Sine block and hit Edit. Set keytracking to 100 ct. For SRC1, use LFO1. Set depth to about 25-30ct. Highlight LFO1 and hit edit. This takes you into the LFO editor. Set the rate control to On and set the Max speed to something that sounds good to your ears.
Press the Right softbutton until you get to the COMMON page. Set monophonic to ON, and turn portamento on. Set the rate to something that sounds good.
Last thing left to do is to emulate one of the Therimen controls. Go to the Output page and set the crossfade control to the modwheel. Now you can use the modwheel to control the volume, just as if you were using a real Therimen.
Does that help any?
